Root Problem getting identifier token

Caserian

Lurker
Hello all

I am getting a "waiting for device" message while trying to get the token for a new evo I had received through the insurance ( I had lost my other one ). I did not encounter any issues getting the token on the evo I had lost.

The main thing that I did notice about this evo is that it is identified as
PH44100 021D1C and my old one was simply PH44100.

I am using the factory cable and have no programs running that can communicate with the phone while trying to get the token.

Thanks for any help

Use live usb to boot into linux and do it there it is much easier than windows. Here is where you can get a live disk
Index of /mirrors/linuxmint.com/stable/17

Here is how you can put it on usb to boot into linux live
UNetbootin - Homepage and Downloads

After you boot into linux go to Software Manager click on it.
When it opens put in the search box in the top right corner
fastboot and download android tools fastboot
Then type in the search box sdk
Scroll down to the bottom and download ubunto sdk libs
type in the search box adb
