Problem - some apps will NOT install

So far 3:

Swiftkey (whick I already own)

Swype - which I tried after Swiftkey wouldn't install.

I'm actually liking the default keyboard A LOT. I just wish that it would prompt to add words to the dictionary.

Started thinking "It's a conspiracy so that I don't use a different keyboard. . .

ESPN Streak for the Cash. Same thing.

Just sits there sating "Installing. . ." Never actually installs.

Anyone with similar issues, or suggestions?

The HTC keyboard already has Swype activated. And you can add words to the HTC keyboard's dictionary. You can add them under settings... language/keyboard... HTC sense input options...Personal Dictionary. Or when you type a word into the keyboard and it's not in there, when you select the highlighted word, it's automatically added to the dictionary.

I saw where you can add to dictionary - I didn't know that way! thanks!

Clear the cache in the GOOGLE PLAY STORE application & try again.

I have the T-MOBILE version & had no problems loading up SWIFT KEY.
FWIW,a beta version of SWIFTKEY is always available on SWIFTKEY's website.
It's kinda cool, usually has features not yet available on the store version.

I have the opposite problem. I keep getting autocorrected to the word "dint" when I mistype "don't". I can't remove "dint" from the dictionary because apparently it's a real word. I've read on other forums that long-pressing "dint" will give me the option to remove it, but I hold my finger down on that annoying-ass "dint" for 10 seconds and nothing happens.

How do I get rid of "dint" for good?!?

Is the word dint not in Settings > Language & keyboard > HTC Sense Input > Personal dictionary? If it is then you can remove it from here.

Write 'don't', 'dint' should then be in the suggested list and in the middle in green, 'don't' should be another suggested word, click on 'don't' and it should remember it.

No, it is not in the personal dictionary, probably because it is in the default dictionary. (It's apparently a real word, meaning "an impression or hollow in a surface."

Your second suggestion did not work either. I typed for example "domt" (which would be a common misspelling of "don't", and it came up as "dint". I tried selecting "don't" in an attempt to make it learn that I want "don't" and not "dint" here, but it defaults to "dint" on subsequent usage.

Hmm strange.

Try going to Settings > Apps > All. Search for HTC Sense Input and try clearing the cache and data for it as I believe the keyboard should be in there.

Although doing this will wipe your current personal dictionary.
