Problems flashing recovery

I have rooted my Gear one and used Odin 3.09 and went through the process of uploading TWRP recovery onto it and it checks out fine. Then when I reboot and try to enter recovery...when I select recovery I get the little green android guy and it says it is installing additional files or updates. Then it boots up and it is wiped and I have to select restore and then select my note 3 again. Any suggestions?

Looks as if you rooted but the recovery didnt get on the device . i would try to unroot and do it again with another root method

I got it on there finally. Didn't have to do any thing else. Just tried it again the next day and it worked...go figure.
