Help PROBLEMS with Froyo 2.2 Draining your Battery?

HI EVERYBODY,
I found some posts of people that complain that after Updrading their Samsung i9000 Galaxy S the Battery started to run out much faster.

Personally i installed Froyo (version 2.2.0) yesterday and i still haven't had the opportunity to test it... does anybody have problems with the Battery Draining too fast?

Any solution that you found that worked to solve this problem?
Thank's for any info

Do a factory restore, should perform better. To enhance battery life turn off wifi, bluetooth, use 2g, limit background data, turn off GPS. All of these will extend the battery life when not in use. Just turn on feauters when you want to use them! Oh and reduce the display res.

hope this helps

Persoanlly I've found the opposite, battery life is better.

With my typical use I got a couple of days this has improved to 3 and the battery still had a bit of life left.

Must clarify I turm off all services I'm not using i.e. 3G, wireless, etc.

I should not have to do this. Why would I want to use a phone and only use 2g and have to turn off my bluetooth, wifi and other things? WHAT'S THE POINT OF A SMART PHONE?

They need to fix the problem.

This is even making the iPhone look good.

Not really a 'smart phone' issue.

Leaving things like bluetooth switched on has long been known to shortern battery life. IIRC battery life on some of the Nokia phones I've had in the past was at least halved with BT on.

If you install something like the Dazzle toolbar switching these features on and off is very easy.

I have a similar problem. I've isolated it down to wireless. If I switch wireless off, battery is still 95% full after 8 hours (nighttime). If I switch wireless on it drains down to 50% over the same time period.

I've read about some problems with wireless sleep modes. Are those bugs still in and if not, how can I manipulate those settings?

Just download Advanced Task Killer, then you can stop anything you dont want from running.
I use Gingerbread, and its amazing what rubbish is always running.
