Help Problems with video playback

HI,

I have a galaxy note 8.0 that doesnt like playing certain files, i have tried putting them on my sd card via a pc and even ones that work on there will not play on the tablet, i have tried downloading them in different formats such as .mkv .avi and .mp4 and it doesnt seem to like any of them, i had a tab 7.0 and this would play everythig so im not sure whats causing the problem? Some files will play, but some just say sorry this video cannot be played

Ive tried downloading 480, 720 1080 and standard res in case this is the problem but none seem to work

I save all the files to the ext sd card (64gb) so not ure if this mite be the cause?

Just looking for any help as i havent seen anyone else having the same problems!

if you could provide an example file it will be helpful..
maybe try and install a different video player that supports a lot of formats,
some like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad or similar..

Hi,

I think ive found the problem, ive tried about 6 different video players, ive replaced the sd card (64gb) that i got with the tablet with a 16gb one and now everything seems to work so i thik the sd card is at fault, on closer inspection it wont format on a pc so i think its done for :/
