Help process android.process.acore

Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone could help with a problem we have been having with my sons zte racer?
When we try to turn it on it says 'the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly please try again' and a force close button.
We can't get into the menu at all.
I have downloaded terminal software fron ZTE website and connected the phone to the computer in ftm mode and it says 'detection of network end- the network is available' and' end of scanning handset- failed to scan the handset'... does anyone have any ideas why it can't scan the phone?

I had same issue. I had to clean the data and cache for Contacts/Contact Storage. Here is how.

1) Turn off wi-fi
2) You go to Settings->Applications-> Manage Applications and tap All Tab. You select Contacts and Contacts Storage one by one. Clean the data and cache individually for each app. Just cache cleaning will not help.

3)Restart and turn on wi-fi

Reset may work on phones. You have to do backup before the reset.

It is an Android Sync bug. It appeared from nowhere though I did not download any app for last few days.
