Help Question about the Market (Google Play) Icon

NMSPEED

Newbie
Hi,my market icon has been removed from my phone and now I cannot find my Google Play Store app to open my market. Any help about this subject will be appropriated

Its just called play store. I thought it would be called Google Play Store

Yep, they've been in the process of that change for a few days now.. causing a few issues here and there with downloads, etc. So far my icon has remained the same.. waiting for the switch as I don't see a prompt to upgrade in "my apps" section of Market yet.

Same here, still showing the old market icon.

Although my Music and Books have updated to Play Music, and Play Books.

Besides, you aren't playing anything in the market. You are buying it. Why didn't they call it "Buy", or "Purchase" or "Transaction"?

Does the actual Market app actually vanish when the Play Store goes up? Because I now have both on my GNexus.

I found that the name "Market" stayed on the icon I had on one of my homescreens but changed to "Play Store" in my app drawer. If that's the case for you, just remove the icon from the homescreen and then add it back

Is the market shortcut in the top right of the app drawer working for anyone? I just got the Google Play update which removed the market app, but that shortcut does nothing when i click it.

EDIT: Never mind, it's working now.
