Root Racer II overclock

So I am a dude who got his phone. I started trying it out when I found out that speedx lags like all hell on this phone. So I rooted it with superoneclick, used CPU master free but it says like 0 MHz ~ 0 MHz even when I move those all or none sliders. I set apply on boot and rebooted my phone, but the speed is at most, negligible. Can anyone help me?
Also, can it be newbie friendly?

Overclocking is specific for every different CPU. We need kernel source, to see what can be done.

Kernel version says it's 2.6.32.9 zte-kernel@droid #2 if that's what you are thinking about
Kernel source is a bit derstandable to me
