I hear a bunch of different prices to.replace the Morton 15$, 30$, 40$. Does it vary by store / the way it's replaced?

I was told by the metro store $40. Just curious in case i ever have to

I've gotten a replacement phone inside a metro store it has to be a corprate store and i walked in and asked to have my phone replaced they offered to put one on order from lg which you know would have taken a week or more and there was a 15 $ fee for ordering it or they said for 30$ they would go to the back and grab me one and activate it all for 15$ more so of course i chose the 30$ option i beleive this is standard for corprate stores but anyway i hope this helps

They don't really tell you, but it's usually a $10-15 "stocking fee", and another $10-15 for activation. Prices do vary, but not usually by store, it's more about the availability of replacement phones.

Metro probably sends your old phone to LG to get refurbished, then they stick it on a shelf for the next person that needs a replacement.

I went to a corporate store Thursday, my motion 4g just stopped turning on for no reason. They said I can either pay 30$ to have it replaced right there, or 15 to have it shipped to the store and I come pick it up in 2-3 days

Same happened to me cause of a shorted car charger. Same prices they told me.

My experience with replacing metro phones is that its $11 if you still have your one year warranty (which you should I don't think the motion is a year old) you have to go to a corporate store though

if you're doing through insurance its a bit more pricy depending on the phones present price

Where for $11??? Retail store or corporate??

@rhino: I don't think metro will replace a phone that's disconnected, but you could call *228 and activate the broken phone so the store will replace it for the cheap fee, you just have to get a service rep to activate it by reading them the IMEI number. They'll ask you if the phone you are trying to activate is the phone you're using. Just tell them no. They ask for the serial number, but they really mean IMEI

If your phone ever randomly fails to power on for some reason, most of the time, removing the sim card and putting it back in will fix the problem
