Root Reset EVERYTHING to stock, and now wifi error (RESOLVED)

Hey guys, you've all been super helpful to me in my exploration of rooting, but I think it's time to call it quits and return everything to default. I would like to know if anyone has a step by step instruction guide to resetting to the stock rom and removing cwm, and can also provide links to the roms/utilities that I might need. Some other instructions that I've tried to follow don't seem to help, and I couldn't locate any RUU executable that I could use with this phone.

And that gets me to the stock rom. But whenever I try to do an update through Boost (via Check for Updates), it boots into CWM and gives me "Unknown volume for path SDCARD" and a bunch of other information pointing towards the update zip, and won't install the update at all.

Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

Edit: Ok, disregard this I suppose! I'll leave this topic up for anyone who might have similar issues or needs a quick reference.

So I think I downloaded the wrong PH file. I needed to choose the second one and I grabbed the first one on accident. This is the one you want: http://www.battlefieldsingleplayer.com/apachethunder/htcdev/fullstock_PH44IMG.zip

Then I needed to go into that zip and change that android-info.txt file, according to Apache's post quoted in full below.

If you are on boost and get an old version error, then try changing the "mainver" string in the android-info.txt file to the following. Please note that once you do so, you will need to do this to any further zip files you attempt to flash to the phone:

Although now when I try to turn on Wifi, it only displays "ERROR" and doesn't actually turn on. That's... Interesting.
 
Yeah I'm trying to rebuild the stock rom from my backup. and everything works but Im getting this same wifi thing. WHere it doesn't turn on, and just says error...
 
Thank you sooo much! I was actually planning on replacing a bunch of WiFi files today, but now I dont, this is awesome thanks! look forward to a new freedom pop rom :D

I tried flashing the boot.img through clockwork mod and then it broke my 4g, and my wifi stayed broken, so I just re flashed what i had before.

did you flash the file through hboot? and did it break your root?

any help would be nice, thank you!
 
Did you guys not do a backup? I have flashed two roms here after backing up original freedompop system and have returned to the original several times by merely going into recover and reflashing the original from back up. No problems whatsoever. Also FreedomPop came with root, you only needed to update by downloading the superuser binaries on a post I placed in the thread forum of FreedomPop, which Ironically came from here.

Anyway good luck.

No I did do a backup up, thats how I'm creating the flashable zip, from my backup haha. And thanks for the concern, I was just wondering. I wanted to make flashable zip for people who didnt make a backup. Also, I wanted to make a de-sensed stock rom, and maybe some ports. But thank you for the idea!
 
Hey guys, I finally got around to flashing this thing on hboot again, and It still didnt work after a successful flash. I guess its back to the drawing board...

If anyone has a clue, the help would be appreciated!
 
Oh no offense meant, I was just saying. I know a few people from FreedomPop have been through here now that I posted these pages on their website. I just want to make sure that if you are a FreedomPop co-sufferer, like I was, that you understand what you already have on the phone. Many of those folks are newbies.
