Root [ROM] Azrael X v3.1 1/05/2011 (3.70.651.1 OTA/HTC #15 kernel)

Use a file manager (like Estrongs or Root Explorer), navigate to your sd card, go to a folder named, "Azrael Removed", and you'll find it there.
can I use astro, ummmm....yes I can, thanks Frenchy. You will be rewarded for your kindness someday.

Does that include AOSP roms? I've only ever tried myn's I want to try something else but wasnt sure which way to go. I do like fast! It sounded to me like the AOSP roms were faster than the sense based ones, but I may have to try Mikfroyo

The only AOSP ROM I've tried is Cyanogen, granted I didn't use it all that long (I flashed back to Stock the moment I realized 4g wasn't working) I would still say Mikfroyo is faster. Keep in mind, I don't have a REAL basis for comparison lol.

Cool maybe I'll have time tonight to give it a shot

If I want to flash back to backup does it have to be a zip file, when I used clockworkmod to do backup I don't think it saved it as a zip

ok just made a nandroid and I'm ready to give Mikfroyo a whirl, a question for you.

In his thread he states that you need the latest radios/wimax/etc.. and has a link to those right here [ Radios ][ 12-17 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers

So I have never flashed new radios before, what do I need to do prior? Just wipe cache and davlik then flash? Or do a full system wipe then flash? I assume I have to flash these radios before flashing the Mikfroyo Rom...
Also on that link I posted should I choose the combo platter (the 1st one on the page) I'm assuming that one includes everything needed?? Or should I do them all 1 by 1?

thanks!!!

I would like to report on how this rom is working for me so far. Not a single problem, nota. My battery life is out of the ball park I.M.O. I unpluged at 7:50am have made 8 phone calls for aprox. 1hr. total talk time, enabled 4g and did some web surfing for 45 mins. played 3 youtube clips at 4 mins ea clip did some more web surfing at 3g for an additional 45mins and battery is at 75%. Time now 6:45pm thats 10hrs and 55mins I'm pretty happy with these results. Tell me what you think

I too have wondered why there hasn't been much talk about Azrael. I haven't tried it myself but it seems like a very good ROM.

btw added this thread to the Root Guide that's stickied :)

I think I like this ROM better than myn's. The only thing that bugs me is there is no batter percentage in the indicator.

Go to the original thread and there is a battery indicator mod on there. I am gonna flash this just to check it out...if this free f*&^%$g download ever finishes at about 1mb every 10 f*&^%$g seconds!!!!....and have to listen to the Mission Impossible style music the whole time...(or turn down your puter).

this rom is wonderful it's quick and before i ran over my phone in my driveway i was using it, and as soon as i get my new evo back i am going to reinstall this rom. This room is fast and looks appearing. i hope the creator keeps refining it t make it even better. Thanks to the creator of this rom.
I don't understand why this rom doesn't get more interest. It's quick, smooth, and I haven't had a single issue with it. It's stock looking only if you're looking on the surface. I guess I'm a lil older than most of the guys flashing roms and don't really care for most of the really gaudy theming most other roms contain.

I tried out Myn's 2.2 RLS5 and have to say that I did like some of the black theming, especially the dialer and menus, but I still think that 3.1 is the smoother rom.

This ROM is rock solid. I started with his Stock Turbo Rom and thought that was great, then went to this rom and couldn't believe it was faster that the Stock Turbo. I am running Netarchy's 4.3.1 SBC BFS havs-more agg and am pulling 1540's with Quadrant. Not a single glitch. Had the phone on for 4 hours with normal to me usage and still at 90%. Checked some emails, made a bluetooth call, 3g and wifi. Overclocked to 1152, tried 1190, locked up my phone so 1152 is the max my phone will handle. I have flashed the circle battery meter, different clock and a custom Gingerbread key board and all work great.

this has been my favorite ROM so far, smooth and stable. i did flash a bump charge kernal though, and it seemed to make a difference with the 2600 sprint battery (which sprint gave me for free after 2 emailed complaints btw). ive been off the charger for about 14 hours, streamed pandora for about 8, light talk and text, and im still at 40%. I flashed the newer radios, and now my 4g doesnt work, but that was something different.

Kernel and radios please

 what did you complain about may I ask? lol

Told them the battery life was horrible, and that the phone was unusable. They replied with a form letter about the EVO radios, and turning them off etc to conserve battery life. My reply was that noone I knew with an iphone had problems, and had to disable the very things that they bought the phone to do. I told them they should offer me a batery free of charge, or at least 50% percent off. The csr agreed to 50% off, told me to send the invoice via email and that they would issue a credit. It seems as if they didnt read the email, and credited me the full invoice....dumbasses. Win for me though!

has anyone had any issues with 4g with this rom. Since my last little episode with some of the roms I just want to make sure it works before i apply this rom.

I used 4g in town the other day so I can tell you it works. It also comes with wireless tether app but the sprint hotspot is hacked on this rom and you can use either one.

Luigi, I go out of town for a few days today. I have been on Azrael for about 5 days now. No complaints at all. It doesn't have many bells and whistles(very stock like) but it is rock solid and pretty snappy. I think I will launch today with Mik and see what I like. I tell ya what, the 4.3 HAVS/More/SBC goes for DAYS with this thing!!!

what am step am i missing. I unrevoked my new evo and i have s-off and i have had this rom on my old evo and now i can not seem to get the new one to do the rom upgrade.
