Root [ROM] CyanogenMod v7.2.0 GB 2.3.7 (6-16-12)

In case there are any other laggards out there like me who are still using the OG Droid as their primary device...

I flashed CM 7.2 a couple days ago and it is running beautifully. CM 7 and 7.1 didn't run well for me, so I had dropped back to CM 6.2 for the last few months. This is the first GB ROM that has been running smoothly for me without any extra tweaks.

I did finally decide it is time to give up my launch day OG Droid and pre-ordered the 32GB Galaxy SIII yesterday. But until that arrives, I think I'll be finishing strong with CM 7.2.
 
Are you able to use your SD card for extra ram with that rom?

If I could locate a kernal that allows for swap on and SD and then if I bought a fast one I could keep using this phone for a few more years.

I will only use phones with keyboards and I am only interested in phones with unlocked bootloaders :(

Correct but it only works if your kernal supports it. I am still running smoked glass and the kernal it uses is not supported by that app.

However that app is exactly what I want to use.
 
Ummm, again, i used that program with the cm7 builds for the Droid (original D1). If the cm7 builds supported it then then it should now.
 
Very cool, perhaps I will try to reflash to CM7.2 and if CM lets me do it then I will buy a really fast SD card and a new battery. :D
