Root ROM issues

For some reason, any ROM I try to install now is basically stuck looping the splash screen for that ROM. I sometimes will see a android.application error to brief to fully read after a 1st install, but then it's just back to the boot up animation. I have tried Angry Bean, Dirty Unicorn, MobsterHD lite, a Midnite from back in October. Changed from Clockwork to TWRP. I'm running out of ideas.

Anyone have anything I can try?
 
try flashing boot.img through fastboot manually from a pc.
you can extract the boot.img from the zip of whatever ROM you currrntly have installed.

The comnand is: fastboot flash boot boot.img

If your s-on, with hboot 1.57 or 1.58, you cannot flash JB ROMs
 
Fixed the problem, I was only clearing cache and Dvalic... had to do Data and system as well. Now for the fun of reinstalling my apps, thanks god for Titanium :D
 
If I were you I wouldn't use Titanium to reinstall any of the apk's that require root access. When you backup apps in one ROM and restore them to another it creates issues that usually lead to random reboots. Creating instability. At least its happened plenty of times to me anyways haha. I usually only restore games with data now. Otherwise just restore the app and not the data. :)

Does your advice assume different ROMs? Have you noticed instability issues going from say r78 to r84 of negalite blurom?
 
I constantly restore using apps + data using Titanium Backup, but only restore user apps. System app restores can cause problems, so I leave them alone.
 
Hmm. Back when I had my Optimus Elite whenever I restored more then 2 or 3 apps after a fresh ROM install it would end up booting up and then a few seconds later the screen would flash a few times and return to the boot animation. Basically a soft reboot. I've always been warned tho that if your switching to a different ROM then it is advised to not restore the data from apps.

Also I believe I'm on r82 still because I only do the updates from the OTA Updater app. I usually dirty flash updates right on top tho and have done that since r32 with NO problems at all. I installed every update through OTA Updater doing that and have done at least 15 updates.
