Root Root Method for D415 - yes I am rooted and will work

1st: download towelroot
2nd: install and press button to root
3nd: restart phone and download root checker to verify
4: download superuser from this link

quick question, is it necessary to download supersu from the link, will the one from the play store not work?
 
i am rooting my phone for the first time.
so i want to know after rooting the phone with towelroot and downloading the supersu software,
should i install it in phone or connect phone to pc via usb.
how can i revert the root if required.
and how can i backup my data of phone ????????

You can download supersu from the play store, the binary update will fail, it always does. Download busybox, give it hit on when supersu asks for root permission, install than leave it, once its installed you just have to update it & you can click a setting so when there are updates it will let you know. & if you decide to get rid of root, I've done it a few times just playing around, go into the supersu apk. And there's a option to unroot, you just verify that's what you wanna do and it reboots once or twice than bang back to normal. I'll leave a link to download Busybox Pro OK! Hope this helps.

yeah, mjhealy1978, we got it the first time, no need to say Baden-Baden :D

there is a custom TWRP recovery as well as CM11 build on xda, you need to unlock the bootloader though. be careful.
 
I will be putting a guide together tomorrow night for instructions on how to install PAC ROM by demonslayer a project on which I collaborated on.
