Hey guys, I am not a dev, just an enthusiast. Do any of you know if any of these exploits will work on the Boost Mobile ZTE Max+ N9518?

Sorry bro.. The ZTE N9518 is the Warp Elite, not the Max+.
*ZTE*
Warp Elite --> N9518
Max+ --> N9521

Oh no, I meant the N9521. Sorry, I have both phones and got the model #s mixed up. So how about it, can the N9521 be rooted with what we have here?

You should try Kingroot, it is able to root lots of models. As for the rest of the ZMAX Z970's rooting methods, I wouldn't risk it without an opinion from hroark and the guys who did it for the Z970

I second that. Kingroot is the best right now. If that doesn't work try connecting your phone to your oc and using the windows version of Kingroot. If it doesn't work then try kingroot, srs root and oneclickroot. If none of them work, be patient. Something will give.

I need help with a complete overhaul of the Zte boost max N9521 I have temporary root with kingoroot but I really don't know what I'm doinflg this phone is. Pain in the Ass.. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

once you get temp root you should install supersu to retain root. from there you will need a custom recovery for YOUR device. do not install the recovery for Z970. you shouldnt need a custom recovery to keep root access, but you should also have a way of restoring your device in case something goes wrong.

OK thanks is there any way you can help me with doing the custom recovery
Nope! It is very important that you gain confidence through lots and lots of reading, and not through the instruction of others. I can tell you that you will most likely be looking for TWRP or CWM. I am not sure that either is available for your phone. Again, protect yourself and your device by reading everything you can find before altering your device any further.

OK I haven't really had any time to try and straighten out the root I just haven't powerd down my phoene I was told get super-su and try to get a permanent root I'm just a little unsure about what apps actually do what???
I use to be a big I Phone fan back when they had awesome phones

supersu is an app that will let you keep root permanently. all you have to do is install it

i lost my root i have ben given another option but it seems a bit complicated here is the link tell me what you think?

that method seems to work for some, but i have found that the difficult task of getting temp root with kingroot seems to work best if you just try it after your phone has been running for a while. loading up the RAM never really did it for me.

those are good instructions, though. i would tell you something almost exactly the same.

You should be able to get temporary root with KINGO ROOT pc version.If you reboot you lose root!!!

I would advise extreme caution with that. In this thread today, apparently Kingo Root killed/bricked a device.

...and here they might either be having a repair bill from Lenovo for re-flashing the firmware, or they will be buying a new tablet.

And there have been other similar reports as well with various devices, not just Lenovo or ZTE. And even if Kingo does work through whatever exploit, there have been other reports of undesirable pop-up ads appearing, ......and that's why it's "free" of course. :thumbsupdroid:

FWIW I'm in China, and I just would never touch any "free"(adware/spyware) Chinese one-click root exploit things like Kingo or Iroot, even on Chinese devices, like Lenovo or ZTE.
