Rooted phone not freeing memory

Hi there. Can anyone help.

I have an HTC Desire which I rooted about 2 weeks ago hoping to free up some internal memory
Everything seemed to be running fine until I noticed that I was starting to get low on internal space and now I'm getting a message that states that I can't install apps because there is not enough memory. I installed and ran Move2SDenabler and when I open App2SD, I can transfer most apps to the SDcard. Same thing when I got in the phone settings under Applications. I can transfer most apps to SD and the settings state that the Apps are on my SDCard. So I trasferred everything I could to my SD card, but when I open up the Disk Usage App, if I look at the APP storage tab, I am using 147 MB of data of which 85 MB is used by applications, 44 MB for System Data and only 18 MB of free space. Under the same app, if I open the Storage Card tab, the majority of space is used up by maps,music, video, and pictures and I have 24 GB of free space, yet I don't see any applications. There is definately something I am not getting about this rooting thing.
How can I really move all the Apps and data to my external SD Card?

By the way I am using a Mac to sync. Could this be part of the problem?

Get Titanium. It can force many apps to the card that normally show as phone only. Be careful though, because you can mess up your system with Titanium if you do something you shouldn't be doing. Also, use it to clean up your dalvik cache. It probably has some unnecessary things in it taking up space. Lastly, you can use it to incorporate system AP updates into the ROM to save some space (i.e. maps, gmail, etc.)

P.s. I do not recommend moving important apps to the card because you might lose settings after each reboot or you might want to make sure it is there if the card is removed. For example, your launcher, maybe your texting app, and things like Lookout. Lookout cannot help you find a stolen device if the app is on the card and the thief takes the card out.

I personally like link2SD. Don't move ANY system apps. You can install App Quarantine and "test" an app before uninstalling it. You need to reboot to see correct memory values.
