Root Rooting the Sidekick 4G

So, since no one here seems to say anything about it, what program would I use to root my Sidekick 4G? Is this even possible as it IS listed on the list of supported models for Clockwork Mod, which obviously requires root access.... Anyone have any useful info other than "my sidekick rebooted twice today"?

I dont get it, if you already had sk4g then why you need roots it for if sk4g is already installed on andriod??

Explain to me why everyone wanna root on Sk4g for?

it allows you to remove unwanted software that is built-in (like DriveSmart). It lets you add apps (like tethering) that are normally blocked or you get charged for.
