Help s voice to set alarms

Kcttocs

Newbie
I posted this in the gs4 forum and haven't gotten a reply yet, hoping maybe this forum has more traffic and might know the answer or workaround. Thanks

When I use S voice to set an alarm, it defaults NO SNOOZE. I cannot find a setting for it unless I manually set the alarm, and I hate doing that. I even tried saying "set alarm 2pm with snooze" and still no snooze. I work the night shift and wake up at different times during the day a lot, and I always snooze my alarms for at least 10-60 minutes. Do I need to download a separate alarm app? Help!

Also, when I set the alarm, she always asks me to confirm. One of my friends has the GS3 and when he tells S voice to set alarm 8am, it just sets it and doesn't ask him to confirm, and that's what I would prefer, just do it already. Help!

Thanks!

What android version is the s4 using? Think ive read that Android v4.2.x requires stricter permissions for things like that and adds an extra (annoying) layer of "confirmation"

Would be nice if I could just tap yes or something to confirm rather than gibbering it another voice command. But nothing is click able from the s voice.

Have you tried setting it through Google Now? Its 10X better than S Voice IMO.

Its the google search bar widget or the google icon in your app drawer.

I don't use my phone as an alarm clock, so I havent personally tried it with snooze

Actually using the Google Now, works without having the extra step of confirmation which I like, but I still have to go into the actual alarm to enable snooze which is a crock. When I manually create an alarm, the snooze is default ON. I don't get it. I also set timers a lot for cooking or kids being on time out etc... Google now just creates an alarm for ten minutes from now rather than setting the timer for ten minutes, which I guess isn't all that bad except after a while it will clutter up the amount of alarms if I don't delete them after wards. So defenitely some improvements can be made. Does anyone know if any of the alarm apps will work with S voice or Google now to set alarms and timers?
