Help Samsung Galaxy ACE GT-S5830i

Hi,

my name is Anja and i am new to the forum.

My phone froze yesterday. I've taken out the battery, switched it back on and the samsung logo kept appearing but couldn't get any further than that.
I found the info about the reset option so i went ahead and did that. I do not really care about the data, etc. but i do need a working phone.

By now I've went through all the options available on the recovery screen but when i select the wipe data/factory reset and after selecting all the things in the following two screens, i am stuck on the final one and it just does not move. I've left it all night but it does not move.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

I have an almost identical problem but my phone does not even get to the Samsung logo!. It stuck at the first screen announcing it was a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i and that was it.

I too tried the reset option. The menu appears red and selecting any option makes no difference. Now it just goes straight from the first screen into the recovery screen but after a few minutes it switches itself off!
