Help Samsung Galaxy Mini Camera Problem Pixilated/Distorted

Hi guys, i have a problem with my camera. When i take pictures, the result are bad and its pixelated. I tried resetting the setting of the cam but the problem is still there.

Anybody has the same problem? any solution?

I agree with sdrawkcab here, it may be a dirty lens. Try cleaning it with a non-fibre cloth (much like a cloth you would use to clean glasses). Do remember though that the mini's camera is not great, so you can't expect to get great photos out of it.
 
no, its not dirty. i have tried cleaning it, resetting it and reset factory setting and the problem is still there. Im thinking that it may be a hardware problem.
 
Is the pattern the same in all images? To me that looks like very limited colour depth, and hence banding rather than smooth transitions in shades, which could be software if so.
 
Do you have any sort of camera apps installed? It wasn't too clear on the first image you posted, but on the second one it looks more like a software problem...
 
No, i have not installed any camera app. I am using the default camera app. But i did update the android from froyo to gingerbread and thats the only thing i did but it was a long time ago. This issue just appear last month and was looking for solutions. I have a feeling that its a hardware problem as my child always throws my fone, so i was thinking that that might be the cause. But i hope anybody can help me solve this issue. Thanks.
 
Same problem, but not distortion in the same area (hardware) but banding on colour gradients. To my eye that's more likely to be software, but as I don't own a Galaxy Mini I've no idea what settings there might be.

Have you tried installing a third-party camera app and seeing whether it's still there?
 
I have installed camera apps, but the problem is still there. I hope that downgrading from gingerbread to froyo will solve the problem.
