Help Samsung galaxy note 8.0 download reading problem

Hi there, new member here! Just bought this tablet and wanted to buy an ebook. I did so by using kobo which had worked great with my Sony reader. Download worked ok but Samsung says it cannot open the file. I tried downloading the kobo app which also worked though it says it should already be on the note. Still no luck with the book! Anyone else had this problem and what is the solution? Thanks for any help you can offer.

have you tried and uninstall and re-install the kobo app?

Yes, tried that but same result. Kobo download of book works almost instantly but cannot open the file. Anyone got more ideas?

so in the kobo app, do you see the book? what format is the ebook? did you buy it from the kobo app? or a website?

for me i get my ebooks from either play store or from amazon and now with nook(just picked one up the other day). i do not have any experiences with kobo.
