Root Samsung Indulge download mode.

My apologies if this is in the wrong section.This is the first time that I have asked a question.I have a Cricket Samsung Galaxy Indulge R-915 (Rooted) that I need to put into download mode.I turned off the phone,removed the battery,and replaced the battery.I held down the #9 key on the slide out keyboard while pressing the power button.From other posts,I know that this should have placed the phone into DL mode.Instead,the white Samsung logo appeared on the screen.I am running froyo 2.2.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I solved my Indulge download problem.
1plug usb cable into pc
2press volume down,hold
3press volume up,hold
3plug usb cable into phone,and the DL icon pops up.

Thanks to anyone who might have been searching for a solution to my problem.
