Samsung Micro SD Card

If you're buying from AMAZON or e-Bay,I'd strongly suggest going w/a seller who has a perfect or near perfect customer satisfaction rating.

Considering the MSRP is $99.99:

64GB microSD Card MB-MGCGB Pro Series | Samsung microSD Cards

Anything south of 50% off of the MSRP,I'd begin to question if the card is a fake & isn't rated @ the capacity or read/write speeds.

At that price, it's just too good to be true. But it is definitely tempting.

This is a *BUYER BEWARE*

1) the pictures of the cards are photoshopped. Original markings on card are SDXC NOT SDHC. Also, they grabbed a 32GB card and slapped 64GB marking over it. Inconsistent markings on the cards to say the least. The pic of the carded SD is probably original, but notice how they make it unclear so buyer can't tell. Very deceptive on all counts.

2) The maximum capacity is 32GB for SDHC. That is the limitation for these cards (by the SD Association).

3) Someone is trying to pull the shirt over someone's eyes. And putting great effort to disguise it. That, and the price (as state previously) is too good to be true. So be very careful.

It is (absolutely sure) a guaranteed rip-off generic with unknown components and may well be unreliable.

I wish i herd that before i got hit in the head 40.00 for a 64gb sound good from ebay had the card couldn't get past 4gb it deletes stuff come to find out this was only a 4gb . Lost out big cause a 4gb is only 9 bucks . Becareful

Wow! Thanks very much for the forensics work on these pictures!

Honestly I'm not too familiar with these memory cards. So to take advantage of the 64GB capacity of the Note 8, what cards should I be looking at?

TIA!

For starters, here's some info on the standards for SD:

https://www.sdcard.org/developers/overview/capacity/

If anything, 64GB cards are SDXC. They are also pre-formatted to exFAT format which will work with the Note 8. Unfortunately, 64GB SDXC cards are still too pricey for me. So I really don't know much about them. Maybe someone can chime in about what brands would be reliable.

Good call, NG. That is photoshopped. And yes, most 64gb microSD's that I'm aware of are SDXC.

Thanks everyone! Bought a 64GB SanDisk microSDXC UHS-1 Card with Adapter at Costco. Popped it in the Note 8.0 and it was recognized immediately with no need for a reformat.

Didn't have a chance to post it, but best buy had sale for 44 the other day.

I bought a SanDisk Ultra UHS-I 64GB for $53 from Newegg over a month ago, now they are down to $52. But look for coupons floating around.
