samsung note 1 phone memory full

My phone came up with the message memory full, I checked with the windows explorer and the phone memory is full , all 11 gb of it , I also have a 16 gb SD card installed and this has 8 GB free. I've gone through each folder and can't find what is using up all the memory , I've deleted / removed all my videos and that hasn't made any difference the memory is still showing red.

What is using up all the memory , any ideas?

copy anything personal to ur pc and do a full reset

Rather than going through each folder to find what is using the space use a disk analyser to see what is taking up the memory.

In Ubuntu: Disk Usage Analyzer
In Windows: WinDirStat
In MacOS: Disk Inventory X

It could be anything from the camera storage (changeable in settings) to app data or game data or temp or trash files.

Camera files will be in DCIM
app/game data could be anywhere but usually in /android/data/
