Help Samsung Rush Tethering Broken[solved]

Hi all,

I'm brand new to the forum, but I was helped immensely by a thread I found on here and wanted to return the favor and maybe save someone else from having to do as much digging as I did before I found you guys.

The problem:

My rooted SamRush suddenly quit tethering. Whereas barnacle worked fine for a while, suddenly it appeared to work(started up fine) but no computer I tried could even see its SSID broadcast. Nada.

I'm new so they won't let me post links yet, but google for "WiFi Tethering Guide for Galaxy Rush w/ JB" and you'll find the page.

You'll also need to google "WiFi Tether for Root Users 3.3-pre2 " and it takes you to a nice link that displays a QR code for downloading the .apk file.

Once installed, use the following settings:

Device-Profile - Generic ICS/JB wlan0
Setup Method - Auto
Fallback Tether - YES
Send Netd Max Client - NO
Enable Wifi encryption - YES
WiFi Driver Reload - YES
WiFi Driver Reload 2 - YES
Keep Alive / Connection Check - YES
MSS Clamping - YES (I couldn't find this in the settings, but I still got an error about it - ignored)
Routing fix - YES

Hope that helps someone. Thanks to whomever posted the original thread.

My Barnacle stopped working and I could never get FoxFi to work. I'd been using the USB cable, but on days when I forget it...no internet
