Root Screen Blacking out

Hi! I recently rooted my LG tribute with Kingo root, and after deleting a few apps, such as google services i don't use, talkback, and a few others, my home screen tends to go black about every 20 seconds, stay like that for about 2, then go back. However, this issue doesn't occur when i'm on an app screen. This always brings me back to my default home screen, and i'm worried i might have deleted something vital to the phone's function, but i'm not entirely sure what. I've done a factory reset twice, but no matter how much i try to revert the phone to it's original state, it keeps doing this. Any ideas as to what i deleted, and how to fix it would be very welcome. Thanks!

The lowest settings for display is 15 & 30 seconds. Even having them set that low wouldn't trigger the screen to come back on after the time-out, unless you pressed the power button (or double tap the screen). BUT you could have accidently erased something to do with the proximity sensor (@Curtis1973 suggested the regular display time-out, which made me think of the proximity sensor). Which will turn the screen black, just like during a phone call.

I still suggest reinstalling the ROM as it will remove any other issues that might arise after fixing the blacking out screen. (Still the easiest way to fix, w/ knowing what exactly was removed). If this is the route you take, remember to make a backup. Also make a list of what you do to the system so you have the steps you performed (then you can backtrack, basically making a breadcrumb trail)

After a bit of research and looking through the core files on my phone i came to find it was strangely missing one of it's home apps thanks to my ignorance with the rooting. I simply downloaded a home screen app from the app store and it fixed the issue! Thank you very much for your help though @HasH_BrowN i probably wouldn't have thought to find an app that could fix it.
