Help SD card transfer issues

Lurker
Hello, I am a new member and I am having issues transferring files from my PC to my SD card and phone.

My PC is a Windows 7 64-bit
My phone is an LG Optimus L90, with a 4gb PNY SD card

I used to be able to do file transfers with no issues using MTP. A few days ago I was transferring files from PC to phone and it got stuck on the "Copying..." window and never copied any files. I can't even copy a simple Word document to my phone or SD card. But I'm not really having issues transferring from phone to PC.

Looking for the root of the problem, I have discovered this:
It's not my PC's USB ports, my flash drives transfer files without a problem.
It's not the USB cable, I tried my other cables with the same result.
It's not my SD card, it works fine on its own.
It's not my phone (physically) as it has not suffered any physical damage at all.

My guess is that it can only be a software issue. Everything is up to date, I set USB connection to MTP, so it's either the phone or PC giving me a problem. I do notice that Windows reads my phone as a "Portable Device" instead of "Device with Removable Storage" so maybe that can be the issue.

tl;dr I can transfer files phone to PC but I cannot transfer files PC to phone.

Welcome to AF metal93!!

I moved your post to its own thread here in your device forum so that perhaps others with your device can help.:)

Do you have the drivers installed for the device?
Are they up to date?
Have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the drivers?
