Root sending my zmax in to zte for repair

hey, im about to send my zte zmax in this week because it has a bad charger port they said that before they send it back they will reset it and said to back everything up. i am on synthetic os so should i restore my phone back to stock with a stock recovery? or will the phone already be repaired since the charger port is bad and i have to mess with it for about 40 minutes before i can get it to charge?

You should reset everything to stock. If they see you have non stock firmware. They won't do anything to your phone but send it back and say they can't do anything for you

make sure you have the stock recovery mode restored on it too!
make everything go back to stock
