Serious Power Help Needed: Does Bluetooth or WiFi Internet use more battery power?

Man, I WISH I could connect the phone to my PC, but when I connect it to the USB port on the PC nothing happens...
That reinforces my belief that you may have a defective USB cable. Also, be sure to clean the USB port on the phone ... after 11 years, pocket lint accumulates and contacts oxidize. I use a product like https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00006LVEU/ with other radio electrical contacts and find it very helpful when electrical connectors don't work.

If the charging problem started when the phone was dropped a defective USB port would be more likely than a defective cable. Though that's easy to test: try a different cable, and if that doesn't help the problem is probably the port.

I don't know whether you can find an external charger for those batteries, but if you can get enough charge to power the phone long enough to copy the data to a card I'd be tempted to do that and not spend more money on keeping this phone going.

You can use the apps like share it as it'll be the fastest way to share your nol card, data from one device to the other and the speed is amazing. As you mentioned, the drainage of battery is too fast so it'll be the fastest way for you.
