Root Setting Permissions

Been racking my brain for days...I've been working on a ROM and I keep running into a set_perm some changes failed Status 7 code. Tried flashing in CWM and TWRP with the same results. I've compared the permissions to other roms and nothing looks out of the ordinary in the updater-script. How can I find out which permissions are failing?

not sure how to trace but the way i bypassed my last one like that was to snake the updater-script and updater-binary from a working rom and put it in mine before i built it out. its messy and requires further tweaking but may resolve your issue.

The permissions should be the same from ROM to ROM, right? Could I drop the permissions completely from the updater-script and just try to fix permissions from recovery?

In the meantime, I'm gonna "borrow" the updater info from another ROM, thanks

Thanks. I'm gonna toy with it some more first...not even sure the Rom will work, its a port of a port. But won't know till it installs
