Help sim slot xoom

My Xoom got Sim slot but don't recognize any Sim what to do
Is my Xoom compatible with Sim I want to use it on the go
Somebody plz help
 
The sim card slot is on all Xoom but not all of them have the hardware inside. Which model do you have and what country are you in?
