SMS Deletion

hey guys,

i ve 2 queries with this thread.
1. does having a large no. of threads, n large threads slow down the system as a whole ?
2. how to delete a thread as large as 11133.

i m trying to delete this thread 4 hours gone the process status just keep showing up, the fone is not frozen i can still do other things n then from the task manager return to the same "deleting conversation" screen. but y doesnt it completes up. i ve tried both messenger n go sms pro. bt the same result.

Yes this would indeed slow the phone down quite a bit. If the conversation will not delete normally then it would be worth clearing the whole messaging application (be aware this will clear all of your messages):

Main Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Messaging > Clear Data.
