sms suggestions

I'm looking for a sms program to replace my default text. I tried Go pro sms, Handcent and Pansi but they all stopped working and forced closed while I was using them. I uninstalled each one before installing a new one. Any suggestions on other apps I can try?

There is no reason why those apps should not be working with your phone, what make and model phone do you have.
