I'm amazed we don't see more people, like me, who intend to hang onto their Triumphs indefinitely, just to keep the $25 plan.
i tried to do that, but the triumph's OS is now getting to old, and last year i believe google decided to only start maintaining 1 android OS at a time, maybe also supporting 1 previous, i cant exactly remember
i had the triumph with the $25 plan running MTDEV Cm7, which worked awesome, until the past few months, i had to disable all app updates cause it seemed like 1 by 1 they would either stop working or pull to many resources from the device rendering it pretty useless for a few minutes or until restart
also i was one of the lucky ones, my triumph had 0 issues until the past few months, the battery started going first, 100% charge wouldnt even last 5 hours if i was using the phone and wouldnt last 24 hours even when not using it
then my charge port started acting funny, not like most ppls, mine still works fine connecting to the pc, still charges fine if the phones turned off, but the OEM charger just barely plugged in is the only way to charge it while powered on
also my keyboard got all crazy lol, worked fine almost all the time for months and months but recently whenever it wanted it would literally type all on its own
around Christmas Eve i got the Galaxy S3 from VM with $125 off making it only like $280-$290, still alot of money but its the same i paid for the triumph originally like 3-4 years ago or whenever i had originally bought it, also found on the same day a Sandisk 64GB Ultra Micro SD which usually is listed for around $80 i got it for $40, and the Lifeproof Nuud Case for the S3 which is supposed to be $99 i paid $56
also the Triumphs $25 plan is only $10 more for the galaxy, for the $35 i get everything the $25 plan on the triumph (300min/unli text/ unli data) had except i also now have 4G LTE support
i will miss the triumph, the $25 plan, and MTDEV team things tho
only downside to the galaxy is this Knox stuff which i still dont fully understand lol working on it tho
and the S3 is so new to virgin mobile that the sub-forum on this site for the VM variant isn't buzzing along as fast as this forum and isnt as neat/organized either but that should change with time
