So there is an update coming to our phones, but it only fixes these issues? We have so many more than these!

Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
So do we need to go to VW website to download these updates ?? They dont automatically send them to our phones ??? (Im new to Smartphones??)
hopefully we can keep our root with this update
Only issue on the list that I wanted fixed was the 3G 1x switching....should improve some battery life and help me when streaming!! w00t w00t!
EDIT: I don't think we really have THAT many issues to deal with. I think most will be fixed with 2.2.
I really appreciate the little bump that they're giving....it at least shows that they want to solve the issues.
I know it won't be available now (I presume) but when I do a check status, I get...

Wow and I was about to get excited until I saw what the updates are. Here's whats weird I have the InnoPath Active App in my App Drawer and its been there a few days but I know I didnt DL it?
Maybe it did and I never noticedI've had it since I got my phone, pretty sure it shipped with it...
I've moved this thread out of the All Things Root forum to the generic Fascinate area where it belongs.
Incidentally, in anticipation of too many 2.2 related threads cropping up in the Fascinate forums, all about the same thing: when is it coming and related issues, let's give Rimzy's "official" Froyo thread a chance to be the place for all of this..

..I'm going to begin merging new threads on this subject into that one.
idk if its heavy enough to be considered a paper weight
Yeah the update isnt actually out yet. People saw the pre-leaked pdf and figured it was actually out but its not out yet. So yankeeboy must have assumed it was out and that since he was rooted he could not DL it.Well, I think his initial inquiry was mean to find out if rooted users were able to get the update or not ....
