Software ver on new Admiral

I am looking at getting an Admiral but need to do some tethering with it and if the new phones ship out from Sprint w the updated version of the software that would be a deal breaker for me.
Any idea if the phones now shipping will have the updated version of software on them that breaks tethering?

Just got one yesterday and it has ver 2.3.5 on it. I just started looking for info.

FoxFi will allow you to tether by Bluetooth, won't play nice with wifi.

Sprint took it down from the Play Store but you can donwload the apk directly from FoxFi Installer
