Help Some help please?

I've all but given up on the voice dialing...neither Vlingo nor the inherent Voice Search works correctly. But there is one thing I'd like to know how to alter if it's possible...
When I open up phone, I'd like for my favorites to be listed first and when I click on one of their names, i'd like for the phone to just dial that person without opening up their contact info and my having to hit send. I know it seems really nitpicky, but I've always had that and would like to have it again. Can someone help me? I'm very new to Android. Thank you.

Just slide your finger across their name and it'll make the call without opening the contact info.

"go contacts" or "go phone" has a favorite menu. choose your most dialed numbers, and blamo. i believe when the app initially opens it takes you to the dial screen. swipe right. there are all your favorites ready to be called. let me know if that helped.
