Help Sony Xperia Z2 - Touch Screen lockout on call

Heyo world. My father owns a Sony Xperia Z2, which, upon recieving a call seems to lockout the touch screen and will not display any caller info - the screen remains as it was when the call was recieved. This lasts until the call is missed (cannot answer the call due to touchscreen lockout). After this the phone will resume its normal functionality.

Is this a known issue or bad setting? The device is a standard Xperia Z2, running the newest software Sony offers (sadly, my father has the phone, I can't guarantee which software that is.)

I apologise if this is in the wrong place. I saw no forum for the Z2.

Got this from another forum
Settings > Personalisation > Manage notifications > The tab "All" > Check so nothing is disabled in this list (at the top of the page). If you find something that is disabled, enable it and restart the phone to see if same behaviour appears
