Sprint Galaxy Nexus Getting Update to Android 4.3 Today – Droid Life

My dislike for Verizon grows and grows. But my wife needs their coverage when she travels and the discount her company gets from them....not to mention we have grandfathered unlimited data....

So for now I am stuck. I've held off thus far on going to a custom ROM but I think I may just do that as soon as 4.4 ROM come out. I could put up with the delays if only Verizon would let us know what they are doing, but instead they pretend they have no information until they release an update. Its so frustrating, especially now that Sprint has given a 10-21 day window for the release on their variant.

Come on Verizon!!!

I mean I am not really surprised, Verizon isn't good at all about getting updates out to its devices just because it feels like it's necessary to retest all the updates for 8months until it really is good.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GNex ever saw 4.3

Adb sideloaded 4.3 today.

Nexus 5 gets here Tuesday, but I still had to get it on 4.3 as fast as possible :)

I think trim functionality is huge and long overdue. Either way, I'm tired of Verizon's antics and am switching to TMobile in 2 days.

Don't forget bout OpenGL improvements! ^_^

I dumped Sprint last week in order to save $60.00 monthly to go over to T-Mobile Business. There I was able to pick up 2 free LG Optimus F6's, which I find very close to the Galaxy Nexus.

After disconnecting Sprint, I left the GN on Airplane mode with the WiFi on. Imagine my surprise today, when I was prompted for the 4.3 update.
