I have not tried one yet, but have been thinking about it.. what holds me back is the sneaking suspicion that it would end up not being used because when I encounter an area too small for my finger, I just pinch/zoom it out a bit and I'm good to go.
I got a super cheap one that I despised using. I wanted something to sketch with the AutoDesk sketch app. Seems like the best conductivity for capacitive screens is a rubber tip. Not very good for dragging though. Was quite "sticky" when used against the screen.
the reason I bring that up is because the Targus ones you mentioned looked very similar to what I used. I don't really seeing it as being much better than you're finger.
