Root Super Circle Battery with Beta3

I tried to follow the instructions here,

and while it produces an image, when I try flashing it, I get an error message. (Something about error on line 1 or the like...)

Anyone else having trouble with Super Circle Battery, or is it just me?

I didn't try and don't really intend to, but did you fix package permissions before applying the zip?

No, not really. For one thing it wasn't mentioned as part of the instructions and for another ... well, the "fix permissions" option seems to work only for files named "update.zip" and I wasn't sure if I should be renaming it or now.

Though, now that seems silly. I'll rename and try again.

EDIT (to prevent double posting) :

Wonder of wonders, it works !! Looks like I needed to fix those permissions after all !! <feels embarrassed>

A tip to anyone else trying this out : You'll want to turn OFF the cyanogen option to display percentage over the battery icon. Drawing it over the super circle battery just spoils the effect.

Thanks for bring this to my attention. I had only used it as part of a theme with Galaxo and was kinda missing it. Thanks to this post I now have it running with my sweet personal theme on GAOSP.
