Root system error when trying to fast boot

when i wirte the fastboot flash recovery command at the cmd window i get an error that tells me that adbwinapi.dll is missing what should i do?
i have win7 64 and i have installed all the drivers, i have no exclamations mark in the device manager as well what should i do?

The missing .dll's files are in android/android-sdk-windows-/palform-tools. Just copy them to Windows/system(I have Win 32) and it should work.

(I think so was a long time ago since I did it - 1 year ago).

System 32 (there where you have dll. files) and just to be safe in system (nothing will happen if you copy them in those two locations). Like I said it was a long time a go.

ty man fastboot is working now but when i boot into recovery mode it just gets stuck and dosent react. it says GALAXY AOSP and has an android icon and under it says recovery mode.
what shoulde i do now?

Try re-flashing the Recovery again. Be sure that you have Rectools.tar.gz on the Internal SD card. Hope it helps.

Yes. But from the Galaxo. Just try it and then post the results please.

I meant re-flashing Recovery with it (and just that). For ROM download via PC (copy it on Internal SD card) or Galaxy and using file manager put to cut/paste to internal SD card (away from Download folder).

And if you format Internal SD card you will only lose Rectools.tar on your internal SD card. But when you're mounted (do mount SD card from Recovery) after the formatting (Windows, Ubuntu, Linux...) is done just copy Rectools from PC to Internal SD card (you don't need to reflash the Recovery again). Maybe that's why Recovery gets stuck. But try to re-flash older Recovery and if it doesn't work format Internal SD card (FAT 32 is the target so beware).
