I set tasker to open pandora when i plug in headphones, but how do i set it to stop pandora when i unplug them? i tried putting an exit task to kill pandora but that doesnt work.

But most importantly I want to set it to play pandora when i connect my bluetooth headphones and kill it when i disable them. I tried the bluetooth connected option and launching pandora but that doesnt work and i also went into address and put in my BT headphones and retried it and that didnt work, any suggestions? im running fresh 3 froyo:confused::confused::confused:

With regard to bluetooth, is the profile being activated and not running the task, or is the profile not being activated?

With regard to killing Pandora, I just used a widget that successfully killed Pandora for me. Try starting Pandora and then opening Tasker and editing the task that kills Pandora. On the bottom right you should see a Test button. If you press that, does it kill Pandora?

Im not really sure if its the profile or task, im guessing its the profile because when i plug in headphones i have it set to run pandora and that works just fine but doesnt kill it

ill have to try this in a little bit

Since Tasker can run 'exit tasks', I just have my headset plugged profile setup to kill Pandora, or any other audio app I have on my headset plugged menu when it exits the profile. I just tapped the task side of my Headset Plugged profile and selected 'Exit Task' on the popup menu. Then I added an app task to 'kill app' Pandora, etc. This kills the Pandora app when the headset plugged condition exits which is when I unplug my headset.

This is exactly what I tried. pandora opens but after it does not close

I would try adding a Vibrate or Notify action to the exit task, as a tactile or visible means of confirming that the exit task is in fact running. Also, after Pandora should have exited, check to see if the profile associated with your headset is still active, either by looking at the Tasker notification, or by looking for the green outline around the profile in the Tasker UI.
