curious as to why you are looking for this feature? i never had the need for something like that......not sure if it exists.

So that I can tell what is at a saved location by looking at the map.

i'm sorry but i still do not follow.....google maps does a pretty good job of showing points of interests on the map.

it also keeps track of places used maps for as well.

All I can put on Google Maps, as far as I know, is just the one yellow star. I want to know why I saved the location.

ok i see now, well for me i just add the place i need to go (especially if i am going there often) in my contacts and from contacts i open the maps from there.

this way you can add notes or anything else and it is easy to pull up when needed.
