Sometimes I'll get a text from a person who is in my contact list, but it won't show who it is because there is a +1 before the person's number. I scrolled through all my contacts and none of them have a "+1" before their phone number, so I'm wondering why that's happening and if anyone knows how to correct it?

It's happening because the carrier is sending the entire number through CID, and that happens to include the country code - 1 is USA. Nothing you can do about it - the message app should recognize the +1 and search for a contact with the rest of the number. (And ignore a 1 in front of a number in the contact list, since some people still put that in, even though a cellphone assumes the country it's in, so putting in 800 555-1212 or 1800 555-1212 is the same thing if you're in the US.
