USB Type-C was supposed to extend the universal connectors and improve upon them in many ways. Sadly, we're seeing multiple issues where USB Type-C chargers just aren't compliant with the standard.
To resolve this, the USB Implementers Forum has announced a certification program that will allow charger manufacturers to print a logo on their charger if it has passed the certification process.
