I just tried applying this and got stuck in a boot loop, twice, and yes, I pressed mount system. Nothing clearing states which download is preview 3.1, there is only "download link" and "download link preview 2".

Edit: Apparently preview 3 is "download link", this should be more clear for people using it in the future.
 
Applied early this morning while waiting for VZW to finish their update so I could reprogram my phone after SBFing and installing Fission. Installed without a hitch and looks great. I have been wanting a plain black status bar (no shading) fo a while now and this theme looks great. Cant wait for updates.
 
Posted Preview 4 with support for Fission 2.2.1. This preview release adds a blacked out browser and dx/android keyboards, amongst other things. Swype hopefully coming soon, I've been having issues getting it to play nice.
 
theme looks great as always. packed in the theme apks and flashed. really like the all black gmail and GV as well as LPP.

haha. I was just about to respond to your post on the thread. All you have to do is go to your sdcard's "Black Out" folder using the "Files" app. Files > Phone files > Black Out. From there you can just click on any file that ends in .apk and it'll prompt you to install. There are also some flash-able mods in that folder that'll put the battery percentage over the battery indicator and a flashable blacked out DX keyboard. You would install those as you would install the theme itself, once the theme is installed.

i tried to un-install it and it uninstalled the 'upgrade' not the full app. how can i do this without reflashing the theme bc im not using the theme im using another one
 
using root explorer, or a terminal emulator you can go in and delete the gmail apk in /system/app. Fission doesn't come with Gmail in /system/app, so that's why this isn't an issue for Fission users.

Just an FYI. on Google Voice the call duration at the bottom is white on white.

having regular swype already installed;
try this in sys/app.
going in to;
swype/assets/keyboard

should install your changes over old swype on theme installation.

different copy; should work anyway.

I'm not really sure what you're asking / stating here. I was just mentioning that I haven't themed swype yet and that the themed version will be coming soon. I have swype on my phone already / know how / where to install it from, I just haven't finished theming it yet. Swype is kind of a bitch to theme and takes forever, but it's on the way. Probably sometime in the next day or two.

ahh yea.. my bad.. was getting FC's at first.. i appreciate the advice.. actually had that part of the theming done for the most part already /assets/ i mean. somehow there was some random file in /res/raw "beep.wav" that was getting compressed and whenever the java/smali code tried to play this wav file it FC'd because it shouldn't have been compressed.. to get technical about it haha.. i appreciate the help though. i'll have it up and running and out to you guys in an update soon enough.
 
Posted an update including support for Fisson 2.2.2, themed Swype, updated theming on the other Keyboards, and an updated ESPN Score Center app which is up to date with the market version. As well there have been numerous tweaks throughout the theme as a whole and the theme is now available via Fission ROM Manager.

Later today / tomorrow I should have a D2 build up. Was just having some issues with the android kb and swype, other than that it's fully functional for D2 already, I'm just not ready to release it with these issues.

If you do OC'ing right, it should really be saving your battery life, not eating into it. The key is overclocking, but undervolting. I run at 1.15, but undervolted to ULV so my voltages are lower than stock, but the phone runs a lot faster. Voltage is the battery drain, not speed. So you can make it as fast as you like, that doesn't affect the battery, it's the voltage you have it running at.
 
Posted a new version supporting 2.3.1 and including a few market app updates as well as theming of Launcher2. Smaller tweaks throughout as well. Enjoy
 
Just posted up Preview 7 for 2.4.2/2.4.3. Enjoy all. It comes with a new Dialer, newly blacked out Google Quick Search Box, market updates for Facebook and MyVerizon, newly blacked out YouTube and Pandora widgets, a D2G Edition! And, I can't remember anymore what else but there were definitely a few other tweaks haha.. if that wasn't enough
