Help ''there is already a @gmail account on this phone''

HI i swapped sim cards in my phone and when i put the usual one back in it took me to setup and i put in my usual gmail email address and it wont let me sign into my gmail account, it says ''there is already a @mygmail on this phone'' and that it already exists, but, i can't USE it, i can't use play store or facebook or anything, how do i access my gmail account thats already on it? im so confused lol

Can you get to the home screen at all? Because if you can hook the phone to wifi and check out the gmail app and see what email address it is, it may help. Otherwise if you can get to the setting, try doing a hard reset?
