Tired of the iPhone.

Let me lost the ways I have been become embittered wirh my iPhone. Battery life, what battery life. I am always looking for a wall outlet or a free USB.

Memory I am always close to max. Interface, i'm a big boy. I don't need an interface to hand hold me and dictate how I can move data.

Those are my some of my biggest grips. I want to be able to swap the battery, add memory. Larger screen size a plus. Faster with a better camera a plus. Possible better interface an even bigger plus.

So will the Galaxy fit my need? Does it work perfectly with proxy addresses? Any other concerns or questions i should ask?

I was able to test drive a G 3 in my environment. I clicked on the wireless settings and added the SSID and the key. I then held the wifi entry and was able to get advanced settings.
Password: blank we don't need one.
Proxy settings: set to manual
Proxy host name: I put in my proxy.pac address
Port: blank
Bypass proxy for: blank
IP: DHCP

The "save" button would not allow me to save. Even if i populated every field.

Any ideas?

Also how do Android phones get updates? On IOS you get it when they release it. Does that happen with Android OS?

It does with nexus devices becaused they are directly updated by Google .

Non nexus devices rely on the manufactrer and carrier

I left iPhone after 5 years with them. I have S4 and it's quite an adjustment with OS but I love it. I also jailbroke every iPhone. It's worth trying. Besides why stay so loyal to one company? Try it out. I figure if iPhone 6 is better than this next year... I'll switch again. I love good tech no matter who's name is on it.

I just switched from my iPhone 5 to the GS4. I wasn't sure what I was in for, but I decided to take the leap anyway. After getting the hang of the OS and figuring out the best way to type on the device, I've decided to hold on to it. Personally, it doesn't do too many things better than my iPhone 5. However, it does them a different way..and that's what I really was looking for in the end. A different way to use my phone. I was getting tired of iOS and wanted a new UI to work with everyday. I still plan on using both platforms for different devices though!
