Too Hot, Fried the Charger

So I plugged my HOX in my PC to download a picture and the cable was burning hot. When I pulled it out it was actually burnt. Now my HOX won't charge with any cable.

The phone is rooted, which I believe voids the warranty.

Can I still send it to HTC, I got it off of ebay. Can I somehow update back to stock without using a cable, the USB is worthless at this point and has obviously been fried.

Do you have a nandroid of your stock setup? If yes, you could restore that?

However, I'm not sure you can flash the stock recovery or boot image via terminal emulator (not without S-OFF anyway), you'd need a USB Cable for the fastboot commands.

I'd call HTC, see what they say, they have been known to fix H/W faults even with unlocked bootloaders.
